Editor’s Notes: The CELINE Trainer 01 and Trainer 02 — Heid Slimane’s first sneakers after taking charge at the luxury fashion house — were both unveiled at the brand’s SS21 show in the south of France in July. Nearly six months on, both styles have hit CELINE’s online store and are now available to purchase in a number of colorways.

The CT01 and CT02 are part of the “Dancing Kid” collection, which explores vintage codes of sport and performance. Both silhouettes are very obviously sportswear-inspired. The CT01 (also known as the Z Sneaker) features a high-top construction with familiar color blocking and paneling. The CT02 (a mid-top) features similar paneling and a strap across the lower forefoot. Both sneakers are made in Italy out of premium leather and retail for €650 (CT01) and €620 (CT02).
