Last night, the surviving members of Nirvana reunited on stage to play special show at the Art of Elysium’s annual Heaven gala in Los Angeles. Billed as "Dave Grohl and Friends," Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, were joined by Grohl and his 13-year-old daughter. The performance reunited the band nearly 26 years following the death of frontman Kurt Cobain.

As if that wasn't enough star power, the backing band was made up of mega-stars, St Vincent and Beck. Watch them perform below.

Grohl, Novoselic, and Smear last shared a stage together during a Foo Fighters concert in 2018. Smear played with Nirvana beginning in 1993 and up to Cobain's death in 1994. He has since been a core member of Grohl's Foo Fighters dating back to 2010.

April 5 will mark the 26th anniversary of Cobain's death. It is widely believed that the iconic singer-songwriter committed suicide at his home in Seattle, Washington.

Other performers for Art of Elysium's 2020 Heaven gala included Marilyn Manson, Cheap Trick, L7, Beck, St. Vincent.
