The show, which actually first appeared on UK's Channel 4 in 2011 and ran for two seasons, made a comeback on Netflix in September 2019. Drake, a fan of the original show, made it a personal mission to bring Top Boy back, ultimately serving as executive producer on the new version, which features many of the same characters as well as a new, younger cast. The show focuses on London's illegal drug trafficking and gang life but also touches on racism, poverty, immigration, mental health, and more.

Stay tuned for more information regarding the next season of Top Boy.
